Installation is very easy, download the plugin installer php file. Upload it to your root phpbb folder. eg: yoursite.com/phpbb/.

Once the file is uploaded via ftp to your root phpbb folder, execute it and follow the installation instructions provided by the automated installer.

Any action taken by the installer can be reversed with the un-install feature. So you can install and uninstall the plugin instantly if there are any issues.

You may need to uninstall the plugin and reinstall it when you are installing other modules or plugins to your phpbb forum. Please uninstall the ity.im plugin before installing other plugins in your forum and then re-install the ity.im plugin.
